We are four women—two friends since childhood and their moms—who set out to take the trip of a lifetime. We chose Rick Steves' The Best of Europe in 21 Days tour, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. It was an amazing experience for all of us. We could not believe that in just three weeks we found ourselves hiking through a German forest to a "Cinderella" castle, cruising down Venice's Grand Canal in a gondola, walking in the footsteps of ancient Romans in the Colosseum, kayaking in the blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea, having a snow ball fight on a mountain peak in the Swiss Alps, looking at the Mona Lisa face-to-face in the Louvre, and watching the sun set on Paris from the Eiffel Tower. And, as if that wasn’t enough, the trip was just so much fun! When it was over, we realized this couldn’t have been the trip of a lifetime; we loved it so much that we vowed we’d go back one day.
